2026 will mark 250 years since 1776: a pivotal moment in a larger historical era that included the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the outbreak of the American Revolution, and the creation of the political foundations of the United States of America. Vermont’s 250th Anniversary Commission aims to inspire all Vermonters to learn from our collective past in building stronger communities for the future as we plan, coordinate, and promote observances and programming that commemorate this key moment in our nation’s history.

Join us for virtual webinars and discussions to hear from members of the Vermont 250th Commission about this important historical period, what the state of Vermont is doing to mark the anniversary, and how you and your organization can get involved. 

Please join for the discussion that best fits your interests or your schedule:
Oct. 23, 4-5pm:: Focus on higher education, but all are welcome 
Oct. 30, 12-1pm: Focus on municipalities and local government, but all are welcome
Nov. 12, 3-4pm: Focus on arts, culture, & history organizations, but all are welcome
Date and time TBD: Focus on K-12 educators, but all are welcome
